before & after no.3

vintage lampshade frame + salvaged burlap bean sack + about an hour
= a rustic lampshade

i want to make

ooh ooh ooh
I have been wanting to have a bag for the bohoMERCANTILE
my vision has been screenprinted canvas
until NOW...

I reposted this from an earlier post way back when and I did not list where found :(

we have a bundle of old burlap bean sacks just taking up space
though I am a bit intimidated to work with them
because they are quite messy
with all those loose fibers flying about
its a great idea anyway
and maybe something the bohos can create together
poor man's linen <:> recycled market bags
ok my heart is racing only slightly

AND...
I like this idea
found here

be here now...gypsy RIG

my girl Roz
has put some time in on creating her space
I introduced her to the addiction of blogging
only one short week ago and she has ran with it
there was lots of time spent juggling the demands
of our creative energies and those of our young children
but the hard little bit nerve racking job definitely paid off big

so far so good my dear

the rebirth of a doily

found here

I have collected many a doily over the years
and I new the perfect something to do with them would present itself
sew on to clothes as pockets or decoration
add to pillows and purses
well this is a great idea
and quite simple
I like the use of an aged branch, gathered buttons and wild plumes
and maybe a bit of embroidery

...now just where are all those doilies hiding?

A man & his tools

little boys & their daddy's (actually mommy's) toys

like father like son

soon enough sweet sage we will have you busy as a bee
