the Super Moon
Here is an incredible picture taken by a friend of mine. In his words "his attempt at the super moon" I will say it is a pretty flawless attempt. I am left fascinated in its beauty. Find more of Tristan's photography here.

invoking
Her photography is breathtaking. Emotion provoking. Spirit invoking. I like what she has done with paint on her original photos. I especially like the horse. A click around her online presence and I am left inspired yet again.

gypset pachamama
Here is a bold bright lookbook with all the colors of spring and summer. Another Aussie delight, Camilla, I found here. A gypsy soul rooted in the beauties of our one mother nature. So much color and pattern I can hear the stories of many tribal cultures from South America to Africa. I really resonate with this sort of design that infuses traditions that span the globe. The most colorful of tribes rich with belief and folklore.
I have to say the little one in the hat in the first image resembles my little Sage quite a bit.
Pachamama is usually translated as Mother Earth, but a more literal translation would be "Mother world". Pachamama is a goddess revered by the indigenous people of the Andean mountain ranges, the former Inca Empire, stretching from present day Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile and northern Argentina.
note // I am inspired.

creating with emotion + love as motivation

To create with emotion not technical expertise and to be receiving work from some of great commercial companies W.O.W. !!!! I love this !!!!
"Love has always been my main motivation, not a career. Whether it is love for a person, place, or opportunity. I have moved for all of these things and have no regrets for taking risks."
These words are beautiful! I absolutely resonate with this Love Motivation. To hear it put so matter of fact with such confidence just makes it feel alright even though it may be going against the grain of mainstream and how we have been trained in society. Honestly stunning!

inspiring leather works
There is something so Urban Cowgirl about leather. I enjoy working with leather, using the natural edge of the hide to dictate the final design has to be my favorite part. Heyoka Leather has been an inspiration to me for a couple of years now as well as the beautiful photography of Alexandra Valenti. Above is some of their most recent work together. Enjoy.

Spring Dreamin'
(found here)
Spring is my favorite season for it always brings with it hope and daydreams. Spring is so close.
I have many new projects to look forward to that are inspiring my dreams today. I am excited to share them here as they grow and blossom into reality. I feel my spirit singing with the idea of it all like the singing birds I here outside my window in the morning. I hope you are blessed with inspiration as Spring time quickly makes its way to warm our toes and brighten our days.

learning something new
I have been interested in knowing how to set the timer on my camera probably since I have had it and I finally taught myself the super simple process. It took me less than 10 minutes of basically unhelpful google searches until one thing sparked a hint and I got it. That picture of Sage and I was the first product of my new something.
I'm pretty excited about the mandolin Kaya got for Christmas from my mom. I am not at all a musician, not even close, not even a big music enthusiast I usually prefer silence but I do enjoy some good ole' folk music when I'm in the mood for some sound. This has been super fun to strum a tune on, hopefully I can really learn a thing or two.
As for this new something I learned about my camera, I am excited to use it to take my own family pics as well as to style some great shots with my creations in cloth and jewels. I am looking forward to preparing backdrops and such that create a mood, a vibe. I know how much I enjoy seeing those inspiring photographs from other grassroots designers. We'll see how it goes...
And some new words I happened upon here titled "See the Woman"
She has a young face
An old face
She carries herself well
In all ages
She survives all man has done
In some tribes she is free
In some religions
She is under man
In some societies
She’s worth what she consumes
In some nations
She is delicate strength
In some states
She is told she is weak
In some classes
She is property owned
In all instances
She is sister to earth
In all conditions
She is life bringer
In all life she is our necessity
See the woman eyes
Flowers swaying
On scattered hills
Sundancing calling in the bees
See the woman heart
Lavender butterflies
Fronting blue sky
Misty rain falling
On soft wild roses
See the woman beauty
Lightning streaking
Dark summer nights
Forests of pines mating
With new winter snow
See the woman spirit
Daily serving courage
With laughter
Her breath a dream
And a prayer
Here's to learning and doing new things in the new year.

afterglow
I just discovered another 'toy'. I'm sure you've noticed my (maybe not so short-lived) infatuation with instagram and now I have found the afterglow app, with many more exciting options. Then you have the option to edit in instagram and upload to your feed too.
As seen here we have added some handsome timeless pieces to my hubbies wardrobe. Resembling a man from another era. Handsome indeed if I say so myself.
And in the afterglow of the holiday break, school returns tomorrow as does our halfa$$ routine and schedule which means I should be spending more time in my dollhouse studio. I have a little project underway that I am excited to be finally getting around to and I hope to share pictures real soon. Hint: it involves copper.
I have to say I seriously enjoyed our relaxed break time where we all slept in most days, even the usual early bird boy Sage.

inspiring that dreamy haze
So some time ago I posted that dreamy haze photo inspiration and today I was gladly noticing how this pic I just took of the forest boys is capturing that feeling quite similarly. I like that ( insert happy smile here)!
These pics here I like a lot too and the lovely work of this here photographer, her dreamy haze inspiring work recently found here. It's like, for me, I feel so much more emotion in these photos, with a hint of history. There's just something about it I love.

heyoka

The glow of the sun, the old wood structure, the seasons collection hung out to dry - I LIKE IT. This isn't the first time I have mentioned them here and it probably won't be the last. These rather new pictures call to me along with so many of their images and the intro to their site appeals to me too. Some good ole southern rock with mixes of fringed leather, turquoise and whiskey speaks to my inner cowgirl and indian. I found these pics here.
